The cherry blossom which I grow in a large container and has flowered for the past two Springs has suddenly developed a problem with the leaves. They are curling up and drying out to the extent they just crumble when picked off. I did cut off the offending branches but the problem is still spreading. Can any one help please.

I don’t really know but how long has the leaf curl etc occurred ?

It could be a number of things but I am wondering if the very cold snap in March may have affected it - other than that mulch & water etc - have any of the neighbours or neighbouring gardens got this prob too ?

A comment from a Prunus expert is welcomed though

Not sure when the problem started but is was soon after it finished flowering and no other neighbour has reported similar problems..The leaf curl etc seems to have slowed down in the past few days though. Fingers crossed.
